The facial toner with colloidal gold, moisture-binding active ingredients, ceramides, magnesium and glow booster is suitable for all skin types. Why is the pH value so important?
Pure water has a pH value of 7. The optimum, slightly acidic pH value of our skin's protective acid mantle is between 4.5 and 5.5. It keeps the skin healthy, neutralises alkaline substances and prevents the growth of bacteria. If the pH value rises - due to water and soap, for example - important skin lipids for the acid mantle cannot be built up as quickly. The skin loses water, dries out and becomes susceptible to infections. A toner improves this build-up phase and makes the skin more resistant.
Why use a toner before skincare?
Because it optimises skin care! Similar to a sponge cloth, moisturised skin becomes softer and can absorb care products much better. If serums and creams are applied "moisturised with toner", they can have a more intensive effect.
